Caliber and type of needle are associated with the risk of spontaneously reported post-dural punction headache

Introduction
 Post-dural punction headache (PDH) is defined as an orthostatic that develops within the first few days after performing a spinal tap and it related to extravasation of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) into epidural space, resulting in hypovolemia CSF hypotension. The risk factors for PDH are not yet fully understood. 
 Objective
 To evaluate spontaneously reported according size type needle.
 Methods
 A total 4589 patients undergoing outpatient lumbar puncture were included. All collections performed at Senne Liquor Diagnostico, laboratory specialized collection analysis. Patients instructed report by telephone onset during 7 medical team laboratory. with previous any change pattern same period. Needle gauge was classified two groups: 1) 25G or less 2) greater than 25G. Two types needles used compared: Pencil point Quincke. Comparisons percentages spontaneous reports made using chi-square test.
 Results
 141 (3.07%) PHD laboratory's team. Needles 31.8% cases. percentage reporting group 1.9% versus 3.6% (P=0.003). 10.6% among pencil 1.4% 3.2% Quincke (P=0.026). Conclusion
 finer well significantly reduced PHD. Key-words:
